What happened

ASML reported record third-quarter revenue of EUR 11.7 billion and net income of EUR 5 billion, with a 57.5% gross margin. It sold 113 lithography systems, up from 86. It guided fourth-quarter revenue of EUR 14.2-15.2 billion and full-year 2026 sales of EUR 44-45 billion.

Why it matters for listed companies

ASML is the sole supplier of EUV lithography machines, so its orders track how much chipmakers such as TSMC, Samsung and Intel are spending on new capacity for AI processors and memory. Its results matter to European semiconductor-equipment suppliers and to the chip companies whose capex funds them.
